Bella Gypsy Designs was formed in February 2006 by two sisters in a tiny apartment trying to find a creative outlet. Tabatha was self taught and learning the digital world as fast as it was expanding, and Lena loved to doodle but still had dial-up Internet. They realized if they combined their talents, it could mean something truly special. In case you're wondering, "Bella" comes from a Jason Mraz song Lena couldn't stop listening to, and "Gypsy" comes from Tabatha's favorite movie, The Lost Boys. Little did they know as they named their fledgling business, they'd still be explaining that origin two decades later. When they began designing, there were three BG little ones--now there are nine, and a half of them are adults! While time was busy flying, Tabatha and Lena raised their families, had creative epiphanies and boring slogs - they learned, cried, cheered, and lifted each other up. They faced loss, changing family dynamics, and moves. But through it all, they inspired each other, and their team inspired them, and they used their gifts to capture the memories as they were happening. They consider it a privilege to walk with you as you do the same. |
