Happy March! Normally this month brings with it the first signs of spring. Here in Northern Utah, we're still under two feet of snow in our yards. I was so desperate for a sign of spring that I went on a search for any sign the other day. There is about a 4" strip of soil against our house where the snow has melted...and there in the dirt was four little tulip sprouts breaking through the dirt. YES! I can't even tell you how happy I was to see them, even though it will be a while before the yard comes to life with their beautiful color! At the edge of our yard are some lilac bushes...and THEY HAVE BUDS ON THEM! I have no idea how they do, because it's been COLD and GRAY here. But hey, they were definitely buds... and that means spring can't be far away, right? :) It gave me hope that spring isn't far away...and I'll take it!
